Weyerhaeuser seeks an entry level Forest Engineer for the St. Helens operations in Castle Rock, WA. The role focuses on planning and managing field engineering activities such as road layout, construction, and maintenance, plus harvest unit planning.

You will collaborate with engineers and managers to execute projects on 380,000+ acres of forest land. Qualifications include a BS in Forest Engineering (or related) and familiarity with northwest forest practices rules.

Qualifications

• BS in Forest Engineering or equivalent; forestry operations experience preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement field engineering activities in forest settings.
• Familiarity with northwest forest practices rules and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage field engineering activities including road layout, road construction, and road maintenance.
• Assist with harvest unit layout and harvest unit scheduling/planning.
• Coordinate with landowners, agencies, and contractors; administer contracts.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
