Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking an entry-level SVT Fleet Technician to support fleet operations, perform inspections per federal and state guidelines, and assist with minor repairs under supervision.

This role offers hands-on learning, progress toward a higher technician level, and exposure to preventive maintenance, component installs, and safety procedures within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
• Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience in mechanical inspections and repairs.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to obtain CDL within 120 days of hire.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections and carrying out oil changes, chassis lubrication, and part checks.
• Perform campaigns, install components, and upgrades as directed.
• Perform light repairs and correct vehicle deficiencies; assist with alignments and replacements.
• Verify vehicle performance through test drives and system adjustments.
• Perform tire repairs, rotations, and mounting; manage shop equipment and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle requirements.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and shop cleanliness; manage inventory and orders.
• Assist in cost control by using warranties and evaluating parts options.
