Job summary

Gravity seeks an entry-level Mechanic 1 to support fleet maintenance and keep equipment on the rental ready line. You’ll learn product knowledge and SOPs at branch, region, and national levels while performing routine services and simple repairs under supervision.

Qualified applicants have a High School diploma or GED (some college preferred), basic electrical/hydraulic knowledge, and own essential hand/power tools. 21+ and English proficiency required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.
Must be 21+ and able to maintain insurability with company insurance.
Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; able to read schematics.
Owns a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate fleet equipment.

Responsibilities

Performs preventative maintenance on Gravity-owned fleet.
Operates and tests equipment to meet quality standards.
Performs routine maintenance and repairs (oil changes, lubrication, tires, hoses, batteries).
Diagnoses rental equipment with supervision and enters work orders.
Maintains a clean, organized work area; completes safety trainings.
Responds to on-call hours according to safety policies.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
