Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an Early Career Firmware Engineer (2026) to join the Costa Mesa, CA team. You will develop low-level firmware for microcontrollers used across land, sea, and air platforms, and collaborate with Electrical Engineering to deliver hardware/software solutions.

You’ll contribute to device drivers, system features, and codebase architecture while debugging across firmware and hardware boundaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• 3 months – 2 years of technical work including internship and able to start full time in 2026.
• Experience coding in C for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers.
• Create reusable device drivers and integrate system-level features.
• Architect changes to support an ever-growing codebase.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries.
• Collaborate and review schematics with the electrical engineering team.
