Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Nampa, ID is seeking an entry-level Fire Alarm Support Technician to assist with installation, service, inspection, and maintenance of security and low-voltage systems. You will support senior technicians, learn safety procedures, and provide excellent customer service on site.

This role offers hands-on training, opportunities to grow, and exposure to intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related systems in commercial environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No minimum experience necessary.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work effectively in team environments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with service, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Support installation and testing of new and existing security system components.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
• Help perform system inspections and basic functional testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, materials used, and job site conditions.
• Follow all company safety procedures, customer site requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
• Travel to job sites as required.
