Job summary

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst to join its finance team. You will support budgeting, month-end close, and reporting activities, applying GAAP/IFRS knowledge and strong analytical skills.

The role emphasizes collaboration with department managers and investment project leaders to prepare budget events, analyze variances, and develop presentations for senior management. Hybrid options may be available.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS and cost accounting concepts.
• Proficiency with accounting terminology and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and analyzing financial information.
• Create and review budget vs. actual reports for departments and provide insights to management.
• Collaborate with managers and project leaders to develop six budget events annually.
• Develop presentations and reports to communicate budget performance and variances to senior management.
• Assist in financial analysis to support cost control and operational efficiency.
