Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst to support a project in accounting and finance related functions. The role focuses on cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and various cost/revenue components across projects that can range up to billions.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Ability to travel or relocate as required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and other Excel functions preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes the importance of being a team player and adapting to project needs.
• Fosters relationships with the Operations team and shows willingness to learn about the work.
• Understand payroll and HR process workflows and master the systems used to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay all employees.
• Comprehend purchasing workflow internal controls for invoices and payments.
• Understand accounts payable workflow and troubleshoot payment or vendor issues.
• Understand intercompany and client billing processes and the effects on cash management.
• Ensure cost and cost adjustments are reviewed for accuracy against standards.
• Review forecast and budget issues with the cost report for proper recognition.
