Job summary

Abbott Nutrition is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Machine Operator for the Sturgis, MI location. You will join the Powder Packaging team and operate fillers, seamers, and related equipment to fill containers.

Responsibilities include quality checks, batch documentation, sanitation, line cleaning, preventative maintenance, and forklift operation, with strict adherence to FDA/OSHA policies and Abbott procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of food manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Solid problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate fillers, seamers, and equipment in the filling process.
• Track use of scoops, cans, and ends.
• Conduct routine quality inspections of product in production.
• Ensure proper batch work order documentation is completed.
• Complete housekeeping tasks following sanitation procedures.
• Execute scheduled production line cleaning activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and forklift operations.
