The role focuses on field observations and routine testing of construction materials under supervision, with data collection, site condition documentation, and testing support to drive project execution.

No prior experience is required as paid training is provided; certification fees are covered.

Qualifications

• 0 years of related experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Obtain basic certifications applicable to the work performed as per policy
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, reading comprehension)
• Dependable, self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Basic math and data entry ability
• Ability to read maps, follow directions, interpret plans (developing)
• Proficiency with tablets, phones, laptops
• Ability to lift equipment up to ~85 lbs

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision
• Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
• Assists with preparation and submission of daily field reports
• Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results
• Assists in organizing and maintaining field equipment
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned
