Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level Cable Puller / Field Technician to support structured cabling and network projects across North Carolina. The role requires 0-1 years of hands-on cable installation experience and willingness to travel to project sites in company vehicles.

This contract position offers consistent hours through year-end with potential extension based on project demand, and requires reliable transportation and the ability to work 40+ hours weekly onsite in Winston-Salem, NC.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years hands-on experience in cable installation.
• Familiarity with Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber cabling environments.
• Experience supporting network, voice, or data cabling projects.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and dress low‑voltage cabling.
• Assist lead technicians with network infrastructure installations.
• Support cable termination, labeling, and testing activities.
• Follow site safety procedures and project guidelines.
• Load, unload, and organize project materials and equipment.
• Travel to various project sites throughout North Carolina.
