Job summary

Bowman in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator to join our field team. You will set up and operate survey equipment, perform boundary, topography, ALTA, and right-of-way surveys, and support the crew under supervision.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred; commensurate relevant experience considered.
College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying.
Entry level position; no prior experience required. Any survey or construction related experience a plus.
Prior Instrument Operator experience preferred.
Familiar with field procedures for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
Travel and overtime required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures.
Assist the field supervisor with daily crew workload.
Work as part of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys.
Set up and operate survey equipment (total-station, data-collector, level, GPS).
Perform survey calculations and stakeout surveys.
Maintain and stock survey equipment and tools; ensure safety regulations are followed.
