Job summary

Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) is seeking a Field Service Technician I to service the Newark area and North to South Central NJ. You will repair, upgrade and maintain a variety of equipment at client sites, coordinating with branch sales and service teams.

The role requires 1+ years in a technical/field service setting, strong electromechanical aptitude and excellent communication. Travel is extensive, with some overnight stays; a company vehicle and training are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a Technical/Field Service role or similar technical profession
• Impeccable integrity
• Access to highly secured environments; occupational licenses may be required per territory/accounts
• Strong electromechanical aptitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first attitude
• Personable and able to work with others at all levels
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work
• Proficient in iOS, MS Office applications and Windows OS
• Ability to set and track goals independently and work as a proactive team player
• Able to commit to and meet project deadlines

Responsibilities

• Service, upgrade and perform preventative maintenance on electromechanical equipment
• Travel by vehicle to client sites (90% daily, 10% overnight) with long drives as territory requires
• Work with branch employees to satisfy client needs
• Address customer service requests within contract response time
• Extended hours coverage and on-call duties where applicable
• Safeguard and maintain vehicle parts inventory
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle and service intervals
• Safeguard company assets including tablet and mobile phone
• All other duties as required
