Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Safety Specialist for the Kiewit Industrial District. You will support site safety programs, ensure compliance with safety plans, and assist with incident investigations on multi-site projects. This role requires travel to project sites and relocation as needed.

Responsibilities include developing and communicating site safety plans, coordinating with craft personnel, and delivering safety training to ensure adherence to OSHA/MSHA standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing, reviewing, updating, and communicating the Site Specific Safety Plan.
Collaborate daily with craft to support safety program ownership.
Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to enforce policies and plans.
Plan and problem-solve with operations using leading indicator trends.
Maintain project files per OSHA/MSHA and company policies.
Provide safety training on policies, OSHA/MSHA, NCCER, SIMS, and client requirements.
