Job summary

Halliburton Energy Services in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska is hiring an Operator Assistant Trainee - Slickline on a full-time basis. You will learn safety, repair and operations procedures for slickline equipment and support rigging, inspections, and maintenance during field rotations.

The position requires a high school diploma, CDL eligibility, a clean driving record, and flexibility for long shifts, on-call duties, and extreme weather.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CDL Class A with tanker endorsement or Class B depend­ing on product service line.
  • Clean driving record with no DWI/DUI in past 3 years and no current charges.
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Able to pass background, physical and drug screen.
  • Able to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Flexible schedule, long workdays, on-call with short notice, and exposure to extreme weather.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Learn basic safety, repair and operations procedures for equipment and tools.
  • Learn and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures and guidelines and other safety protocols.
  • Assist in completing pre- and post-job inspections and related paperwork/reports.
  • Assist in rigging-up and rigging-down of operation equipment as needed.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and supporting equipment.
  • Assist in cleanup, repair and preparation for a job.
  • Practice safe driving when traveling to and from locations.
  • Complete required training in the company learning development system.

Operator Assistant Trainee - Slickline

Job Duties
  • Undersupervision,you will learnbasic safety, repair and operations procedures onequipment and tools for this job.
  • You will learn and adhereto Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and guidelines, and other appropriate safety and service quality protocols and guidelines.
  • Assists in the completionof pre andpost jobequipment inspectionsand associated paperwork and/or reports.
  • Assists in rigging-up and rigging-down of operationequipment whichcan include high-pressure iron and hose connections.
  • Assist in completingpreventative maintenance procedures and maintainingsupport equipment.
  • Assists in theclean-up, repair, and preparation for a job.
  • Practices safe driving procedures when traveling to and from locations.
  • Completes training as required followingthe Company's learning development system and processes.
Qualifications

Work Authorization: Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visa for this position.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement or a class B license depending on product service line
  • Must have a satisfactory driver record with no DWI/DUI convictions in the past three years or any current DWI/DUI charges
  • Able to lift up to 60lbs
  • Able to pass background, physical and drug screen
  • Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations

Additional Information:

  • Benefit enrollment begins within 30 days of hire date and coverage will become effective on the 90thday of employment.
  • Eligible to participate in the Halliburton Retirement and Savings (401K) Plan as of the first day of employment.
  • Sign-on bonus after the 90thday of employment
  • Halliburton covers the first flight from the lower 48 to Anchorage, AK.
  • 10% Alaska living allowance available to employee's whose primary residence is in Alaska.
  • 5% Alaska living allowance available to employee's whose primary residence is outside of Alaska
  • Lodging and meals provided during scheduled work rotation
  • Position is eligible for a travel stipend of $700/month for employee’s whose primary residence is not in Alaska.
  • Employee's residing outside of Alaska are responsible for coordinating their own travelto and from Anchorage, AKfor their work rotation as well as their own transportation to and from the airport and the Halliburton facility in Anchorage.
  • 2 weeks on 2 weeks off schedule *Halliburton reserves the right to adjust schedules based on industry needs.*
