Qualifications

Job description

The Operator Assistant II under strict supervision, learns basic oil well operations including but not limited to drilling fluids and solids control operations.

  • Pay Rate: Up to $18.00/hour, depending on experience
  • Assignment Length: 6-month contract with the high possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: 13-hour shift | 3x3 rotation | Day/Night shift
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of service equipment.
  • Operate equipment including shale shakers, centrifuges, and slurrification systems.
  • Promote and actively participate in quality improvement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
  • Foster safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of three months of relevant experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow directions.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
  • Completion of specific Baroid training is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and mechanical inclination.
Skills and Attributes
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and basic hygiene.
  • Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of hand tools.
  • Ability to perform basic math and follow directions accurately.
