Job summary

Kaw Valley Engineering, Inc. (KVE) seeks an entry-level field driller assistant to support a driller in the Midwest. The role involves outdoor work, operating auger/rotary drilling machines, and assisting with soil borings, sampling, and rock coring. Travel is extensive and lodging and per diem are provided.

No prior experience is required, and KVE offers CDL training to develop drilling skills. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required to apply.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED certificate.
Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
A Class A CDL license is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist a driller in the field with auger/rotary drilling machines for soil borings, soil sampling, and rock coring; mix drill mud, handle casing and other equipment.
Drive equipment to and from job locations safely.
Assist in cleaning and maintaining equipment and work area after each job as directed.
Work is primarily outdoors and may be performed in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to travel extensively in the Midwest area; KVE covers hotel costs and per diem.
No experience required; opportunity to obtain a CDL and training to become a driller.
