Job summary

SLB in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Field Specialist Trainee to support Well Construction Fluids services at customer sites. This entry-level role targets recent graduates or veterans, offering hands-on training to develop technical and operational skills toward a Field Specialist role.

You will rotate 15 days on, 6 days off, be on-call 24/7, and collaborate with field teams while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in engineering, science, technology, or related field preferred.
• Entry-level role suitable for candidates with limited experience; strong leadership potential.
• Experience in field operations, oil and gas, military, technical, mechanical, or customer-facing environments is a plus.
• Ability to obtain CDL if required.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to learn and work a 15-days-on/6-days-off rotation with 24/7 on-call availability.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute Well Construction Fluids services safely and efficiently at customer locations.
• Ensure job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
• Participate in job risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards through inspections and self-assessments.
• Collaborate with customers and field teams to support service quality and operational performance.
• Participate in Service Quality, HSE, and Quality meetings to identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote adherence to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and mandatory training programs.
• Identify and address operational issues while contributing to reliable service delivery.
