Job summary

Schlumberger is seeking a Drilling Fluids Specialist for the New Iberia, LA area to safely and efficiently manage wellsite operations related to the drilling fluids system. You will test and maintain mud properties and collaborate with engineers to address hole cleaning and loss circulation issues under customer requirements.

The role requires a strong understanding of drilling fluids chemistry, PSD, and solids control, with the ability to recommend remedies and optimize fluids response in

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year Associate/Technical Degree or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience working as a drilling fluids specialist in Gulf of Mexico.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable on key SLB product properties, applications, and limitations.
• Able to manage drilling fluids system during well control conditions.
• Able to perform hydraulic calculations using Virtual HydraulicsTM software without supervision.
• Responsible for maintaining the drilling fluids system within specifications.
