Job summary

Aero Transportation Products (ATP) at the Independence, MO site is seeking a general assembler to build hatch covers and related fiberglass products per engineering drawings and quality procedures. You'll work with fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials, using a variety of hand and pneumatic tools under the supervision of the Production Supervisor.

You’ll be cross trained across tasks, report to the Plant Manager, maintain a clean, safe work area, and contribute to a team focused on

Qualifications

• Ability to use common hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to interpret and apply standards.
• Ability to stand for approximately 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
• Fiberglass experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications/engineering drawings.
• Perform required inspections of product in accordance with Quality Procedures.
• Record applicable inspection/test results.
• Interpret inspection/test results to reflect job function requirements as necessary.
• Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
• Must be able to arrive on time and work a full shift.
