Job summary

Milwaukee Stein's Garden & Home is hiring an entry-level Facility Maintenance/Electrician to assist with ongoing maintenance across electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other building systems. This on-site role reports to Store Operations and requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

You will perform routine maintenance under supervision, assist in evaluating jobs, keep work areas clean, follow safety protocols, and help with store set-ups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
• Good verbal/written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance across electrical, IT cabling, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, roofing and other facility tasks under supervision.
• Assist in evaluating jobs and, if needed, suggest alternative solutions.
• Complete tasks and work orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA-related requirements and communicate issues promptly.
• Assist with store set-ups and refreshes at Stein locations as needed.
• Travel to Stein locations for projects and limited overnight travel may be required.
