Job summary

Stellar in Hastings, NE is seeking a full-time machinist trainee. You will be trained on Fabrication Department machines, including mill, lathe, laser, brake press, burnout table and saw, and will perform tasks on these machines or other work as directed by the Lead Person or Supervisor.

Required: basic computer skills; exceptional attendance; ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs; authorized to work in the US. Emphasis on teamwork, safety, quality, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Be capable of performing all aspects of the Fabrication Department machines, working with others as part of a team, and be prompt and on time daily for work.
• Read blueprints and understand technical documents required by the job of machinist.
• Learn mechanics and operate fabrication equipment with focus on quality and safety.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow company policies.
