Qualifications

• 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain certification to operate motorized equipment.
• Must meet MVR quality criteria per Federal regulations and/or company policy.
• Tradeschool certification in electrical, HVAC and/or plumbing preferred.
• Technical aptitude and basic knowledge of mechanics required.
• Working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, troubleshooting and equipment repair.
• Ability to show adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions applied to work situations.
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and software use.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on knowledge, experience and judgment.
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, internal customers and/or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for onsite operational and maintenance issues involving facilities and equipment.
• Perform routine diagnostics, evaluate equipment performance, and conduct minor repairs.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems.
• Assist in dismantling and reassembling equipment using hand tools and lifting devices.
• Start up equipment and monitor performance to detect problems.
• Inspect damaged parts and advise on repair needs.
• Assist in installing machine parts according to production specs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Operate repair and material handling equipment safely.
• Record production, repair, and maintenance data.
• Read maintenance orders and determine equipment needing service.
• Manage parts inventory and occasional local vehicle trips for pickups.
• Collaborate with coworkers to move machines and parts.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
