Job summary

Domtar is seeking an entry-level Environmental Engineer in Johnsonburg, PA. The role focuses on compliance preparation and reporting for air, water, and waste at the Johnsonburg Mill and nearby facilities.

You will report to the EHS Manager and advance environmental management systems. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and can work cross-functionally in a team or independently, with a mindset toward continual improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with ability to communicate cross-functionally and work both in a team and independently.
• Environmental work experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong mindset for continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement of the environmental management system and processes.
• Completing regulatory reporting including internal metrics, tracking, and record retention.
• Sustaining air, water, and waste regulatory compliance.
• Field testing/sampling and other daily management system checks within the workplace.
