Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to support our design-build water clients across the U.S. You will work full time onsite with the Jacobs team, vendors and subcontractors to coordinate work between trades while ensuring technical documentation is current.

You will assist with submittals, RFIs, cost projections and schedule management, helping deliver safe, high-quality outcomes. This role requires collaboration with multiple teams and on-site presence in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Project Engineering experience within water/wastewater.
• Bachelor of Science in an applicable field.
• Construction project internships/experience.
• Working knowledge of construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate submittals with vendors and Engineering to ensure timely approvals.
• Coordinate RFIs to resolution with Engineering support.
• Expedite equipment to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain the project schedule for the defined scope.
• Manage as-built drawings and documentation.
• Assist with monthly cost projections for subcontractors and vendors.
• Support project plan implementation for quality, change management and safety.
• Prepare and publish meeting agendas, attend meetings, and document action items.

Support our Design-Build water clients across the U.S. and have a hand in transforming tomorrow. As the Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, you will have the chance to protect one of our planet’s most precious resources. You’ll work full time onsite with the Jacobs design-build team, vendors and subcontractors to schedule and coordinate work between trades while ensuring technical documentation (submittals, RFIs, design changes, and record documents) is up to date.

Here’s what you will be doing

• Work with vendors, subcontractors and Engineering to achieve timely submittal approval
• Coordinate RFIs to resolution with the assistance of the Engineering team

• Coordinate and maintain the schedule associated with responsible scope
• Manage and maintain as-built drawings and documentation
• Assist with monthly cost projections for subcontractors and vendors

• Create and distribute meeting agendas, attend meetings, take notes and publish notes and action item lists

Here’s what you'll need

The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $160,800.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
