Job summary

Blue Sky Innovators is seeking an entry-level engineer to support the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent (ATEA) within SAF/AQL, operating on-site at JBAB. You will review AT plans, extract technologies, and build data tracking tools while collaborating with senior SMEs and leadership on national security programs.

You will gain exposure to program protection, acquisition, and national security technologies, with opportunities to grow into engineering and advisory roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Active TS clearance required (SCI eligibility).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and extract key insights.
• Proficiency with data management tools (e.g., Excel, databases).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work 100% on-site at JBAB.

Responsibilities

• Support the review and analysis of Anti-Tamper (AT) plans submitted by defense industry partners.
• Extract and catalog technologies, methodologies, and protection measures from AT plans.
• Develop and maintain databases and tracking tools to monitor evolution of AT technologies and program-level trends.
• Assist in identifying gaps, trends, and opportunities in Anti-Tamper approaches across programs.
• Prepare briefings, summaries, and analytical products for senior SMEs and leadership.
• Collaborate daily with the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent, Program Office personnel, and senior engineers.

Position Overview

Blue Sky Innovators is seeking a motivated, entry-level engineer to support the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent ( ATEA)within SAF/AQL.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the center of Anti-Tamper efforts , supporting the protection of critical technologies across advanced defense programs. You will directly assist in reviewing industry-submitted Anti-Tamper plans and contribute to building the data infrastructure that informs senior-level decision-making.

You will work daily with senior SMEs and leadership , gaining exposure to high-visibility programs and developing a strong foundation in program protection, acquisition, and national security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the review and analysis of Anti-Tamper (AT) planssubmitted by defense industry partners

• Extract and catalog technologies, methodologies, and protection measures from AT plans

• Develop and maintain databases and tracking tools to monitor:

  • Evolution of Anti-Tamper technologies
  • Research & Development (R&D) investments
  • Program-level implementation trends

• Assist in identifying gaps, trends, and opportunities in Anti-Tamper approaches across programs

• Prepare briefings, summaries, and analytical products for senior SMEs and leadership

• Collaborate daily with the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent, Program Office personnel, and senior engineers

• Support continuous improvement of data management and knowledge-sharing frameworks

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Active TS clearance required (SCI eligibility required)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and extract key insights
• Proficiency with data management tools (e.g., Excel, databases, or similar platforms)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work 100% on-site at JBAB

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to acquisition, program protection, or national security systems
• Familiarity with databases, data visualization tools, or basic programming (e.g., Python, SQL)
• Internship or academic experience related to defense systems, cybersecurity, or systems engineering
• Interest in Anti-Tamper, export controls, or protection of critical technologies

Salary range for the position is $150,000 - $250,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
