Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a General Production Worker for our Tigard, OR facility. You will help fabricate and assemble electronic equipment, moving between assembly, SMT, and material handling tasks while following written English instructions. You will also perform inventory transactions and support continuous improvement on the production floor.

The role is contract-to-hire and onsite, with a pay range of $17.50 to $18.55 per hour. Conversion to full-time is based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related work experience in production/manufacturing.
• Familiarity with general production and assembly processes.
• Comfort with small parts and hand tools for assembly tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions in English.
• Ability to use computers, including Windows-based systems.
• Capability to stand, walk, push carts, and lift materials as needed.
• Willingness to flex between different work areas and tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble electronic equipment according to written work instructions.
• Work across multiple production areas daily (assembly, SMT, material movement).
• Perform precision assembly tasks using small hand tools.
• Support SMT operations by moving carts with PCB components.
• Move and deliver materials to production lines per Kanban and requests.
• Record accurate inventory transactions in the computer system.
• Participate in daily management meetings on the production floor.
• Contribute ideas to safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following 5S standards.
