Job summary

Advanced Technology Services in Peoria, IL seeks an entry-level technician to perform procedural repairs to the component level under direct supervision. You will develop technical skills through on-the-job training, document test development of simple electronic assemblies, and maintain fixtures.

Candidates should have an Associate’s degree or related experience, strong teamwork, organization, and a good driving record; safety and customer focus are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months’ to one year related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization; calculate figures and amounts; apply basic algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Performs entry-level, procedural repairs to the component level under direct supervision.
• Works to improve technical skills through on-the-job technical training and projects.
• Communicates with customers on an occasional basis as necessary.
• Completes and documents test development of less complex electronic assemblies.
• Maintains fixtures.
• Processes required service report paperwork under direct supervision.
• Participates in Quality Initiative; improves processes; monitors quality metrics; attends core classes and follows company values and safety procedures.
