Job summary

TIC_Craft in Seminole, Texas, seeks an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftspersons under supervision. You will learn to interpret drawings, determine work procedures, and prepare tools and materials for electrical conduit work.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic safety knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather, with overtime as needed. You’ll gain hands-on experience with high and low voltage systems, testing, and commissioning alongside

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans to determine procedures.
• Assist skilled craftsman measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
• Assist with the installation of control and distribution apparatus and fasten in place.
• Assist with the test and start up systems and continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• May be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Work with high and low voltage systems.
• Assist with the disassembly and repair of defective electrical equipment or systems.
• Learn to operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools.
