Job summary

Pike Corporation in Lake City, FL seeks an entry-level Truck Driver Transmission to assist in construction, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission systems at various locations, with possible travel to other states.

You will work safely, string overhead wire, set poles, install components, and operate with heavy equipment under supervision. Candidates must have a valid CDL, be able to lift 50 lbs, endure outdoor conditions, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Willing to travel long distances and work at various locations.
• Capable of working outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.
• Understand basic rigging, knots, and use of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• String overhead wire and perform transmission construction, maintenance or repair work.
• Set poles and anchors as part of installation projects.
• Assist with installing transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Assist in replacing fuses in transformers and clearing faulted circuits.
