PAE Government Services Inc. is seeking an RF Test Engineer to support advanced laboratory and test event operations at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in EMC, EMV, and HERO testing, contributing to mission-critical defense projects.

This role involves conducting testing within specialized facilities, collaborating with team members, and maintaining instrumentation and measurement systems. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in EMC, EMV, and HERO testing.
• Ability to perform analyses and evaluations for E3 problems.
• Capable of day travel to various local test sites.

Job Overview

RF Test Engineer to support advanced laboratory and test event operations at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in EMC, EMV, and HERO testing while contributing to mission‑critical defense projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EMC, EMV, and HERO testing within the NSWCDD Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Test Facilities, including anechoic chambers, reverberation chambers, and open‑air sites.
• Operate and maintain instrumentation and measurement systems used for E3 testing.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on electromagnetic environments and potential vulnerabilities.
• Identify and mitigate E3‑related issues such as EMI and verify corrective measures.
• Participate in test event preparation, coordination, and execution, including local travel to field testing locations.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless test execution and support program requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Physics (or equivalent four‑year specialized experience with instrumentation and measurement systems for EMC, EMV, EMI, or HERO testing).
• Experience using standard E3 test facilities such as anechoic chamber, reverberation chamber, and open‑air test sites.
• Ability to perform analyses and evaluations to predict and define E3 problems and design corrective measures.
• Capable of day travel to various local test sites.
• Must obtain and maintain an Active Secret U.S. Government Clearance. U.S. citizenship required to maintain the clearance.

Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

Compensation

US: $75,000 to $95,000.
