Job summary

IES Residential is seeking an Electrical Helper to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems on job sites. You will assist technicians, review plans, and help ensure safety and code compliance while coordinating with teams and customers.

Ideal candidates have basic electrical knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced field environment. Entry-level friendly; travel to various sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or construction preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including background and MVR.
• English speaking/writing preferred where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Review plans, specs, and work orders to support execution.
• Support diagnosing and resolving electrical issues promptly.
• Ensure work complies with safety standards and codes.
• Coordinate with teams, vendors, and departments on project activities.
• Maintain records and documentation of electrical work.
• Support project timelines and field operations.
• Monitor equipment and job-site conditions for safety.
• Assist senior technicians and field operations.
• Maintain professionalism in customer interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
