Job summary

Bowhead seeks an Engineering Technician to join our team in Crane, IN at NSWC Crane's Power and Energy Division. You will adapt procedures, follow diagrams, test and record data, and help modify designs as needed.

The role requires an Engineering/technical degree with 5–7 years' experience, knowledge of electrical systems and SOPs, and NSWC Crane operations familiarity. Physical requirements apply; secret clearance is discussed in the posting.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in the duties described.
  • Experience with electrical systems, wiring and troubleshooting.
  • NSWC Crane operations experience required.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Construct components or simple models and adapt standard equipment.
  • Follow diagrams to assemble devices and subunits.
  • Test and adjust setups; record test data and observations.
  • Aggregate engineering data from field notes and reports.
  • Assist in design modification by compiling data on specs/materials.
  • Develop information from past failures and identify data gaps.
  • Other duties as assigned.
