Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group seeks an engineer focused on generator controls and power systems. This remote-first role lets you work from home while staying connected to a nationwide team, with periodic field assignments at major power plants across the USA.

You will train in fundamentals, learn generator controls, power systems tuning, simulations, and compliance topics. The first 1–2 years balance field and office work, with hands-on instrumentation and data capture under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Exposure to power generation fundamentals
• Background in control theory – experience with MATLAB/Simulink
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Programming experience is beneficial but not required
• Willingness to travel and meet new people
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to pass background check and drug test
• Able to lift 50 pounds; field equipment is not light
• Desire to become a leading expert in generators and control systems

Responsibilities

• Analyze field data, develop test plans, prep for field work, calculate models, run simulations, and document results
• Direct generation resources through tests and capture data for analysis
• Balance field and office work during the first 2–4 years
