Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Fairfax, VA is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join our Building Design team. Under supervision, you will help design electrical systems for government, commercial, and institutional facilities, focusing on lighting and power distribution.

The ideal candidate has a ABET-accredited bachelor's in electrical or architectural engineering, 0–4 years of experience, internships preferred, and experience with AutoCAD (REVIT preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience.
• Internship experience preferred for new grads.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• REVIT experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication across organization.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including lighting and power distribution for various facilities.
• Work under direct supervision of senior staff on projects.
• Contribute to government, military, commercial, industrial, municipal and institutional facility designs.
