Confidential Employer in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an entry‑level Electrical Design Engineer. You will perform load and lighting calculations and help create construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit under senior engineers’ guidance.

You’ll design power distribution and lighting systems, participate in field surveys, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. This role offers mentoring, licensing support, and a clear path for growth in a collaborative office setting.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited BSEE/BAE required.
• 0–3 years internship/co‑op experience preferred.
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, electrical design, or building systems preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.
• Technical curiosity and a desire to continue learning.
• Team‑first mindset and collaborative approach.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam encouraged but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain one.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical load calculations, lighting calculations, and other design calculations with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Create and update construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Design power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and specialty electrical systems.
• Participate in field surveys and existing‑condition assessments with senior engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to deliver coordinated project solutions.
• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy, organization, and deadlines.
• Continue building technical knowledge through hands‑on project experience and mentorship.
• Participate in occasional project travel as needed.
