Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering product development and production support; familiarity with UL 508A, NEMA, and CSA standards is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical panel fabrication and industrial wiring installation procedures, tools, and techniques, including industrial three-phase systems.

Responsibilities

• Define product scope from sales orders, rough sketches, or verbal instructions with guidance.
• Create electrical designs for integrated power and control systems, such as VFDs and PLCs, with guidance.
• Collaborate with and learn from engineers within the department.
• Develop electrical schematics and panel designs, including detailed BOMs and engineering validation documentation, with guidance.
• Support the multi-stage design release process, including submittals and production release.
• Assist with product design activities for customer programs and industrial sales.
• Support customer-facing project coordination as defined by sales order timelines.
• Manage assigned projects with guidance, including support for sustaining projects and R&D development.
• Follow engineering best practices and represent the department professionally.
