Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Technician 1 to support testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment at customer sites. You''ll work under supervision to gain foundational skills, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and adherence to NETA standards.

The role requires a high school diploma with related experience, reliable transportation, and successful background/drug checks. A strong safety mindset and ability to travel to various sites is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma with two years of experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
• Reliable Transportation
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
• Must have a valid driver''s license, good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing and maintenance of site/field equipment.
• Support the installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and associated wiring.
• Perform basic testing, moving, and adjustments of equipment.
• Assist in field construction inspection to ensure compliance with NETA specifications and plans.
• Maintain records and report inspection activities.
• Understand and apply basic knowledge of mathematics, engineering measuring devices, and safety procedures (including LOTO).
• Prep equipment for testing as directed by the commissioning lead.
• Assist in the operation of load banks and equipment with proper PPE.
• Participate in Operational Risk Management meetings (ORMs).
