Job summary

nVent is hiring entry-level Assemblers/Electronic Wirers to fabricate and assemble electrical systems and support structures at our Houston, TX facility. You will read schematics, connect wiring, cut wires to length, and prepare products for shipping, gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have basic tools experience and the ability to follow instructions; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate with coworkers.
• Basic experience with hand tools and electrical components is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures.
• Adjust, repair, or replace components to meet specs.
• Read schematics and work orders to determine materials.
• Connect wiring according to prints and BOM.
• Measure and cut wire to length.
• Label components for inventory.
• Prepare finished products for shipping and touch up paint.
• Assist in loading product when required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
