Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, draft, and timely deliver drawings for products.
• Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to convert designs, sketches, ideas, and descriptions into technical drawings.
• Read and understand specifications, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
• Use production software to record drafting time for each order.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
• Understand materials strengths and specify material gauges on drawings.
• Understand and be able to explain design concepts with other designers/drafters.
• Effectively communicate and share information with colleagues as part of the design process.
