Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking an Associate Distribution Engineer (Entry-Level) in Durham, NC to design and develop electric distribution systems. You will support construction work packages, perform calculations, and participate in field inspections alongside experienced engineers.

This role offers exposure to utility projects, design packages, and regulatory documentation, with growth potential toward a full-time position while learning through hands-on field and office

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited university (Engineering degree preferred).
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience with an engineering degree, or less than 5 years with a non-engineering degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to work both in the field and in an office environment.
• Willingness to travel overnight (approximately 10-20%).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Mansioni

• Develop design and construction packages for overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• Perform engineering calculations related to pole loading, guying, conductor sag and tension, voltage drop, and system reliability.
• Utilize GIS, CAD, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client software tools to create design packages.
• Conduct field visits and site inspections, then return to the office to complete design work.
• Prepare permitting and regulatory documentation for applicable jurisdictions.
• Support construction activities and perform post-construction reviews.
• Assist with outage investigations, root cause analysis, and mitigation efforts.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.
