Job summary

Virginia Retirement System is seeking a detail-oriented Disability Retirement Analyst I to support the administration of non-work-related disability retirement benefits. Qualifications

• Three (3) years of relevant experience in benefit administration or retirement administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Process non-work-related disability retirement applications independently.
• Calculate and verify disability retirement benefits.
• Review applications for completeness and request missing documents.
• Coordinate submissions to the VRS Medical Board and communicate determinations.
• Maintain accurate case records and processing documentation.
• Provide accurate benefit information and customer service.
