Pacific Hills Post-Acute in Morgan Hill, CA is seeking an entry-level Dietary Aide. The role supports food service operations, assists with meal prep according to patient dietary needs, and helps deliver meals to patients.

Training is provided to get you started in a caring healthcare kitchen environment. The position emphasizes sanitation, safe food handling, and teamwork with the Kitchen Supervisor and cooks to ensure meals are served timely and appealing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
• Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.)
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Collect and carry out garbage
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations
• Prep food supplies for the next meal
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
