HD Repair Center LLC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic - Entry Level 1 Technician to join our Plainfield, IL shop. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and support our fleet to keep drivers on the road.

This role suits someone starting a career in vehicle repair who is eager to learn under experienced supervision. You will work with modern tools, receive OEM training, and have growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team or independently.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to work the required schedule at the specified location.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles and ensure safety for drivers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using HD Repair Center’s tools, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication.
• Learn new skills with OEM training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
