Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Fremont, CA is seeking an Apprentice Fleet Technician to learn preventive maintenance and repairs on our fleet of delivery vehicles. You will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across the vehicle life cycle.

This entry-level role requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems, willingness to learn, and a valid driver's license. No heavy experience is required, but a CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of all vehicle systems and components.
• Basic diagnosis and repair of electrical systems.
• Welding and cutting skills (gas, electric, MIG, TIG).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance under guidance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Learn to conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose and repair components to manufacturer specifications under supervision.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports accurately and timely.
