Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking an entry level design engineer in the United States to design vehicle and product systems from concept through detailed drawings. You will use CAD and perform basic FEA to support design decisions within a project team led by a design team lead.

The role requires a BS in engineering, GD&T experience, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency in MS Office. Some travel and teamwork across manufacturing are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in parametric 3D modeling and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Strong technical writing, communication, team, and organizational skills
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle and product systems from concept to drawings
• Model system physics and perform CAD packaging
• Apply linear-static FEA for design optimization
• Create technical drawings and status reports
• Support testing with DVP&R and testing procedures
• Assist manufacturing with questions and ECRs
