Responsibilities

Investigates, researches, and prepares cases for prosecution; presents and prosecutes cases in all courts of the county.
Does legal research in specialized areas of criminal law; dictates correspondence and prepares reports; prepares briefs or opinions.
Assists other deputies in investigation, research, and preparation of more complex cases.
Interviews and advises law enforcement officers and the public regarding criminal complaints.
Negotiates with defense attorneys regarding disposition or modification of charges.
May present and prosecute cases before Appellate Courts.
May coordinate the work of support personnel.
