Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Technical Illustration, Technical Communication, Industrial Design, or related discipline.
• Minimum one year of technical illustration, drafting, or 3D modeling experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering prints and schematics.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks Composer, Creo Illustrator, or equivalent tools.
• Familiarity with ERP/PDM systems and controlled documentation workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly and sub-assembly.
• Portfolio of past work available for review.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed, accurate line art for operations manuals, maintenance guides, and procedures.
• Interpret engineering models, drawings, and schematics into 2D/3D illustrations.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and publications teams to ensure accuracy.
• Follow documentation standards for formatting, terminology, and compliance.
• Maintain document histories, revision logs, and file structures in systems.
• Support digital and print workflows for legacy and new programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of illustration quality and efficiency.
