Schnabel Engineering in Seattle, WA is seeking an Entry-Level Staff Engineer to join our growing geotechnical practice. You will develop both field and analytical skills, work with a strong team, and contribute to projects under the supervision of senior engineers.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, strong CAD skills, and a drive for professional growth, with travel for fieldwork and inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel.

Responsibilities

• Apply professional principles and numerical models under supervision as part of a team of engineers and scientists.
• Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports under guidance.
• Prepare complete plans and specifications for construction documents.
• Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports.
• Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways and dam components.
• Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.
• Collect data and measurements in the field.
