Job summary

SAIC is seeking an entry-level Cybersecurity Assessor to support security assessments and continuous monitoring for federal information systems. You will assist senior professionals evaluating security controls and documentation, and support basic automation or scripting to improve assessment efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or higher with relevant coursework.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with information system architecture, networking, system documentation, or software development.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Familiarity with RMF frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53/800-37).
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Continuous Monitoring and Security Assessments of information systems and applications.
• Support review of policies, procedures, and system documentation for compliance.
• Identify weaknesses, assess vulnerability significance, and describe risk factors.
• Communicate weaknesses and remediation steps to federal staff and stakeholders.
• Maintain well-organized assessment documentation traceable to objectives.
• Coordinate evidence review and validation across multiple deadlines.
• Work with multiple assessment teams and manage assigned tasks.
• Perform basic scripting tasks and assist automation of evidence collection and reporting.
