Job summary

Indiana Michigan Power Company is seeking a Customer Design Technician Assoc to perform entry-level technical work across planning, engineering, design, analysis, testing and operation of company equipment and facilities.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field, or a high school diploma with 2 years of utility experience; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of related utility industry work experience, or an Associate Degree as listed above.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of standards codes and regulations relevant to area of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs entry-level technical work and related activities for planning, engineering, design, analysis, research, development, testing, construction, maintenance and operation of company equipment and facilities.
• Assists higher level staff, communicates with internal and external customers, and maintains accurate records.
• Plans work according to standard planning practices and prioritizes routine tasks.
